FEATURES:
1. The red lamp can concentrate light and resist water.
2. It will beep at the same time when the red lamp lights up.
3. When probe is in a deep gole you can't see the red light, but you can hear the sound.
How to use the Optical Edge Finder:
1. Mount the Edge Finder into tooling holder and check its concetricity within 0.005mm.
2. Move the work table to make the edge of work piece be touched to the ball of Edge Finder until the red lamp lights up.
3. Mark the dial reading of table movement, backward the table litter and re-touch the work piece to Edge Finder slightly until the red lamp lights up again to make sure the correct dial reading.
4. Zero the reading dial and move the table to the desired position by adding 5mm to the desired dimension X.
5. Take off the Edge Finder and remount the desired tooling for machining.

Using Optical Edge Finder on the old machine or chuck tooling, if the Optical Edge Finder happen
slanting; while the Center of Optical Edge Finder is uncertain of main spindle's center.
The method of using Optical Edge Finder as follows:
(a) Moving the steel ball which on the top of Optical Edge Finder to workpiece and make them touch untill the red lamp lighten. Then write down the datum. ( ILLUSTRATION 1 )
(b) Withdrawing the workpiece and turnning the main spindle in a half circel to the lowest by hand.

(c) Removing the Optical Edge Finder to workpiece and making them touch.Then write down the datum.

(d) Adding these two datums and divide by 2 then got a numerical. This numerical is a correct stander center point.
